Day 8 May 1, 2006
Reflection: Rejoice in the Lord…Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy. The Word of the Lord is right, and all His work is done in Truth…He spoke and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast.
Vs. 1,2,4,9
How wonderful that we serve a God who wants us to worship Him and be joyous in doing it. He delights in us and listens intently to our adoration of Him.
Not only do we serve a God who desires us to be full of joy, but He makes it easy because His Word is right and all His works are done in Truth. Our confidence cannot be shaken as long as we trust in His Holy Name.
Adoration: Lord, I choose to rejoice in You today. I will also sing a new song to You…A song of victory, not defeat!!! My circumstances do not determine the outcome. You do! Because of this I will trust in You!
Confession: Confess with a song. Sing a song of rejoicing. Listen to the words as you sing it and allow it to minister to your heart. You don’t have to feel the words, just sing them.
i.e. Our God Is an Awesome God, or Praise the Name of Jesus
Thanksgiving: Thank you that I am able to express my love for You freely.
Supplication and Prayer for the Church: Lord Jesus, I thank You that You love us individually, but You also love the gathering of the saints. I pray that joy would fill every house of worship that call You Lord. May that joy be so contagious it spreads like wild fire…causing people to begin believing in You that normally would not have believed. Jesus, make my countenance full of everything You are. In Jesus Name, Amen
Prayer: Jesus, I delight in the Mighty God, King of Kings, Lords of Lords, Creator and Giver of Life. I love You and am so excited that I get to serve You. I’m going to rejoice as I get up, get ready, drive to work and come home. You are the lifter of my head, my help, and my shield. I love You, and You certainly love me!
