Day 7    April 30, 2006

Read:  Psalms 24

Reflection: “Our Creator and Lord!”
This Psalms speaks of “His ownership

Verses 1 – 2:    The Earth is the Lord’s and all its fullness; everything, including man!
Verses 3 – 4:    Question: Who may ascend (approach in prayer) or stand (or be His dwelling place) in His holy place?
Answer: He who has clean hands and a pure heart and who doesn’t worship idols or swear deceitfully. In other words, we really need to know Jesus as personal Savior – walking in the fruit of repentance.
Verses 5 -6:     All this results in the promise of: We receive blessing and righteousness daily from the God of his salvation.
Jacob – the generation of those who SEEK  HIM, and seek Your face. (We have this promise of finding Him when we seek Him with all our heart in Jeremiah 29:13-14)
Verses 7 – 10:  Directions: “WE GET TO!”
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates and be ye lifted up ye everlasting doors and the King of Gory shall come in.” what this means is, look to Jesus and lift up our hands and open our hearts wide and He SHALL come in … to our life, hearts, home, family, church and relationships; ultimately touch and changing the world! Colossians 2:6-9 (Esp. vs. 9) “The fullness of the Godhead bodily dwells in Jesus.” This is He who comes into our hearts!

Adoration:  Praise our awesome God who is our Creator and Lord!

Confession:  Any impurity and lack of fruit of repentance.

Thanksgiving: For the blessings and righteousness we receive daily.

Supplication:  That we will always be mindful of who God is and seek Him with all our hearts.

My Prayer:

Dear Lord, we honor You today and come before You with the gates of our heart open and our eyes focused on You. We acknowledge the fact that You own everything – the earth and all that is therein. Thank You for the opportunity to bless Your Holy Name and give You glory that is due. We humbly ask You to cleanse us and make us strong in You so that we can fulfill all that You have for us to do. We pray for our families and all those close to us. May Your favor and grace run through our community and bring Your blessings and righteousness to every individual. Lord, we want to know You more and be vessels of honor, meet for Your use. In Jesus Name, Amen
