Day 35 May 28, 2006 Day Four—Ten Days of Constant Prayer
Read: Psalm 30
Reflection: When the Lord answers prayer, our hearts are overjoyed, and we look back and see how He has sustained us and brought us through the times when it seems that God has hidden Himself from us. He has been with us all the time! Our sense of security in Him deepens and our faith grows into new dimensions. It is these kinds of experiences with God that open doors to new adventures with Him.
Adoration: This psalm is an expression of praise and thanks to God for His faithfulness when David dedicated his house. God lifts us up and does not let our enemies triumph over us! He heals us and gives us a future. His anger is only for a moment, but His favor is for life! He turns our sad times into times of great rejoicing! Praise Him today for His favor!
Confession: How many times do we neglect giving thanks to God? How many times do we get negative and wonder where God is when things don’t go just the way we think they should go? Lord, we confess there are times that we do not turn to You and cry out to You and cast all our burdens on You. Lord, we just confess that we need You desperately.
Thanksgiving: In Verse 6 David acknowledges God’s favor in his life and how it brought him prosperity and made his mountain stand strong. Thank the Lord today for His grace and favor in your life and decree it over your family and friends. Give thanks for His mercy and help in your life and tell Him how thankful you are.
Supplication: Ask God for the ability to recognize Him in every aspect of our life. Even in the times of struggle, invite the Lord to take control of your situation. Lord, we focus on Your grace and favor in times of stress and believe that You will cause us to triumph in all things.
Dear Lord, Our Heavenly Father, we thank You for lifting us up when we fall. When we are sick and discouraged, You hear our prayer and understand what we are going through. Let Your grace and favor come and touch us today. We decree that favor over our families and loved ones; over our church and its ministries; and over our City and County. Make our down times be turned into rejoicing times, and let us sing praise and give You glory all our days. O Lord we will give thanks to You forever!
In Jesus Name, Amen

Prayer Focus for Constant Prayer: Repentance--For many to turn from sin to new life in Christ
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)
For His Church--That we would recognize our sin and openly confess how we have grieved God; that we would be moved to fall upon God’s mercy for our sin to “be wiped out;” that God would draw near to His people, revealing His presence, bringing “times of refreshing” like rain on dry ground.
For Our World--That Christians would be first to turn “from their wicked ways” (Acts 3:26) so that massive movements of repentance would sweep through whole communities; for Christ to encounter millions of people with His forgiving love, so that they turn from their sin to the joy of following Him.
