Day 27    May 20, 2006

Read:  Psalm 50

Reflection:  The Mighty God has summoned ALL humanity from east to west!  Heaven and earth will be His witness as He judges His people.  Bring My faithful people to Me … Vs. 1, 2, 5  He continues…

What I want is your true thanks to God;  I want you to fulfill your vows to the Most High.  Trust Me in your times of trouble, and I will rescue you and you will give Me glory.   Vs. 14-15
But…..Here are My charges against you… the Psalm speaks of numerous sins common within the Body of Christ.
He says:

  1. Repent, all of you who ignore Me or I will tear you apart and no one will help you.
  2. Giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors Me
  3. If you keep to My path
  4. I will reveal the salvation of God

Adoration:  Lord, what I want is to give You true thanks from the depths of my heart for who You are… the Mighty God, Lord of All.  I want to fulfill my vows to You, and trust You in my times of trouble, (list them out ____________), and You will rescue me!  I will give You glory continually.

Confession:  (Review sins listed in verses 16-20, and make a list of your own (i.e. un-forgiveness, bitterness, hatred, unfaithfulness, infidelity, broken commitments, ignoring God,  gossip and slander, etc. - anything that limits your relationship with God)).

Prayer:  Lord Jesus, I have sinned against You and I have sinned against man (could be yourself). I confess each sin (speak them out), from the depths of my heart. I forgive and release any person (name them), who has hurt me.  I cancel every offense I have maintained in relation to these sins.  I ask for the cleansing blood of Jesus to wash away my sin and ask for the help of the Holy Spirit to heal and change my heart and to rescue me from these areas of trouble.

Thanksgiving:  Thank You Lord for setting me free.  I trust You to help me keep to the path You have called me to, avoiding the pit-falls, giving You all the glory.

Supplication and Prayer for the Church:    I thank you, Lord that You have summoned all humanity to Yourself, and You desire to see Your Church, (every believer) living in holiness according to Your Word.  As we keep to Your path, You will reveal to me and to us (the Church) the salvation of God.  Lord,  help each of us live a life that is a reflection of Your glory, righteousness, grace and love, so that those who do not know You will be drawn, even compelled by Your Holy Spirit to a relationship with You through salvation. In Jesus Name, Amen
